CONFLICT COACHING
Conflict coaching work
more specifically targets how to better manage conflict for individuals
and within organizations.; Drawing upon her extensive experience
as mediator and faculty member teaching conflict resolution,
Wendy has the ability to work with clients to creatively design
solutions to tough conflict scenarios. Conflict coaching engagements
utilize techniques and special conflict assessment tools to
build the client’s regarding internal or external workplace conflict
situations. Conflict coaching is also used to:
- Increase individual self-awareness regarding conflict triggers
- Enhance resiliency and capacity to manage conflict
- Prepare for difficult conversations (up the chain of command,
with peers, employees or other stakeholders)
- Get ready for participation in mediation
- Learn new tools, techniques and conflict resolution compentencies
- Discuss values-based disputes and ways to avoid conflict
escalation
Special assessment tools, such as Conflict Dynamics Profile,
SDI and Thomas-Kilman Instrument are frequently used in conflict
coaching work.
